Best Wireless Earbuds Under $100 in 2026

The wireless earbuds market has gotten ridiculous in the best way possible. What used to be a $200+ category now has genuinely excellent options under $100. We've been tracking prices on dozens of models, and the sweet spot for value has never been better.

Here's what's actually worth buying right now.

The Quick Picks

Best Overall Under $100: Sony WF-C700N โ€” Active noise cancellation, solid sound, 10-hour battery. These regularly drop to $68-78 on sale. At that price, they're absurd value.

Best Budget Pick: Samsung Galaxy Buds FE โ€” If you have a Samsung phone, these are the move. Seamless integration, decent ANC, comfortable fit. Usually $70, drops to $50 during sales.

Best for Working Out: JBL Tune Flex โ€” IP54 water resistance, secure fit, punchy bass. Around $60-70 at most retailers. JBL's tuning is consistently good at every price point.

Best Sound Quality: Soundcore Liberty 4 NC โ€” Anker's audio brand punches way above its weight. These have LDAC support, solid ANC, and a sound profile that rivals $200 buds. Usually $80, often on sale for $60.

Best for Calls: Nothing Ear (a) โ€” Clear call quality and the transparent design is genuinely cool. Around $80 full price, $60-65 on sale.

What to Actually Look For

Active Noise Cancellation

ANC used to be a premium-only feature. Now basically every earbud over $50 has it. The quality varies โ€” Sony and Soundcore tend to have the best ANC at this price range. Samsung and JBL are decent but not class-leading.

Don't buy earbuds without ANC in 2026 unless you're spending under $30. It's too common to skip.

Battery Life

Anything under 6 hours of earbud battery is unacceptable in 2026. Most good options give you 7-10 hours with ANC off, 5-7 with ANC on. The charging case should give you at least 20 total hours.

Codec Support

If you care about audio quality and have an Android phone, look for LDAC or aptX Adaptive support. These high-quality codecs make a noticeable difference over basic SBC/AAC.

iPhone users: you're stuck with AAC regardless. It's fine โ€” Apple's AAC implementation is good.

Fit and Comfort

This is the #1 reason people return earbuds, and you can't tell from specs. If possible, buy from somewhere with a good return policy. Most ear tips come in S/M/L, but ear canal shapes vary wildly.

When to Buy

The best prices on earbuds hit during: - Amazon Prime Day (July) โ€” Usually the lowest prices of the year - Black Friday โ€” Close second, sometimes better for Samsung/JBL - Back-to-School (August) โ€” Surprisingly good deals as brands target students

We track all these prices on our deals page. Set a price target and check back โ€” earbuds go on sale frequently.

What to Skip

Anything from a brand you've never heard of on Amazon. Those $25 "thousands of 5-star reviews" earbuds are almost always garbage with fake reviews. Stick to established audio brands.

Previous-gen AirPods Pro at "discounted" prices. Apple rarely discounts meaningfully, and when they do, it's usually only $20-30 off. The third-party options above sound as good or better for half the price.

"Gaming" earbuds with flashy RGB. Low latency mode is useful, but you can get it on most mainstream earbuds now. The "gaming" tax isn't worth it.

Our Bottom Line

$60-80 gets you genuinely excellent wireless earbuds in 2026. The Sony WF-C700N is our top pick for most people, but honestly any of our recommendations above will make you happy. The differences between them are subtle โ€” pick based on your phone ecosystem and whether you prioritize ANC, sound quality, or workout durability.

Check current prices across retailers on our deals page โ€” earbuds pricing fluctuates weekly.
